in response to the "Mission Statement"

Our goal is to inspire faculty to engage new and visionary teaching and learning pedagogies.  Borrowing from each other, we seek to change the culture of the college to a more collaborative learning environment with an open door policy for all to experience.  We will attempt to dispel the myths and fears of teaching and learning pedagogies and explore new ways of embracing excellence in both our students and one another.  We will encourage risk taking as we assist on another in researching and developing new habits for teaching and learning.  We will change our approaches to teaching and learning, working collaboratively to revolutionize the teaching and learning experience amongst ourselves and our students.  Using our combined creative energies, we will work together to revolutionize the teaching and learning experience, seeking to stimulate new energy around pedagogy.  We will engage our students and each other using our common languages, mentoring not from just collaborative perspectives, but also from the more challenging perspectives of scaffolding.  We embrace and understand that each has their own unique and individual approach to teaching and learning, and we recognize and value every contribution as important to the teaching and learning process.

Bill Berry

Our goal is to inspire faculty to engage with technology in teaching and learning pedagogies that put the student's education first. In creating a faculty centered, collaborative learning environment, we will work to dispel myths and fears about technology and explore new ways of celebrating teaching and learning excellence. Risk taking is essential as faculty assist faculty in research, and develop creative approaches. We will engage our students and our community using technology and demonstrate progress by example.

We embrace academic freedom, and we value every contribution as important.
